What changes, week by week Ce qui évolue, semaine après semaine
Each month develops one human capacity. Each week, children practise it in a new situation and begin to carry it into everyday life. The focus is chosen for each group, tuned to its dynamic and to each child.

Each session follows a steady rhythm: movement to settle, a short transition into chosen challenge, self-initiated creative work, and a closing circle.
The structure is consistent. What happens within it is alive.
Content moves in four-week cycles. Over time, children grow into steadiness, capability, and confidence.
-
Most after-school programmes are organised around what children do. Embreier is organised around how they meet what they do.
Do they stay when something gets difficult? Try another way? Ask for help? Take initiative? Listen? Repair? Finish?
The result is not simply a good afternoon. It is greater capability they can carry into school, friendships and everyday life.

Embreier welcomes children from 4 to 15, across three developmental bands: Root (ages 4 to 9), Rise (ages 10 to 12), and Reach (ages 13 to 15).
Groups are small, with eight children, organised by age band, and held by the same educator each week.
If your child is close to four, or near the edge of an age range, write to us. We will advise gently on timing and help you find the right placement.
-
Your child is with the same highly trained Embreier educator each week, in a small group designed for attention and ease.
Our educators bring advanced training in psychology, pedagogy and related fields, including at UNIL and UNIGE, followed by training, supervised practice and assessment in the Embreier Method. Fluent in English and French, they create a calm, well-held environment where children can settle, engage and develop at their own pace.
After each session, they are available for a brief conversation if you would like one.
