Embreier Signature
Ninety minutes a week to build the capacities children carry everywhere else.
In small groups of eight, children practise confidence, cooperation, persistence and recovering more steadily when things get hard. Each month, one human capacity comes into focus, helping your child strengthen what comes naturally and grow what does not yet. You see the progress clearly, know what they are ready for next, and get simple ways to support it at home.

The same Embreier Educator gets to know your child over time. Educators have master’s-level training in psychology or pedagogy, followed by certification in the Embreier Method.
They are trained to notice how each child responds, persists, collaborates and resets, then adjust the challenge, model another response, or know when to step back.
What they observe, together with your child’s monthly progress, helps inform what to strengthen next so each child can grow on their own best terms.
A Month, In Four WeeksUn mois, en quatre semaines
At the end of the day, they are learning real life: giving and receiving, saying no and saying yes, both comfortably, asking for help and offering it. One capacity each month, and the weeks below are simply how it is built.Au fond, ils apprennent la vraie vie : donner et recevoir, dire non et dire oui, avec la même aisance, demander de l'aide et en offrir. Une capacité par mois, et les semaines ci-dessous ne sont que la manière de la construire.

Frequently Asked Questions

Each session follows a steady rhythm: movement to settle, a short transition into chosen challenge, self-initiated creative work, and a closing circle.
The structure is consistent. What happens within it is alive.
Content moves in four-week cycles. Over time, children grow into steadiness, capability, and confidence.
-
Most after-school programmes are organised around what children do. Embreier is organised around how they meet what they do.
Do they stay when something gets difficult? Try another way? Ask for help? Take initiative? Listen? Repair? Finish?
The result is not simply a good afternoon. It is greater capability they can carry into school, friendships and everyday life.
-
Embreier welcomes children from 4 to 15, across three developmental bands: Root (ages 4 to 9), Rise (ages 10 to 12), and Reach (ages 13 to 15).
Groups are small, with eight children, organised by age band, and held by the same educator each week.
If your child is close to four, or near the edge of an age range, write to us. We will advise gently on timing and help you find the right placement.
-
Your child is with the same highly trained Embreier educator each week, in a small group designed for attention and ease.
Our educators bring advanced training in psychology, pedagogy and related fields, including at UNIL and UNIGE, followed by training, supervised practice and assessment in the Embreier Method. Fluent in English and French, they create a calm, well-held environment where children can settle, engage and develop at their own pace.
After each session, they are available for a brief conversation if you would like one.

Sessions take place in calm, carefully selected spaces across Vaud and Geneva.
When you apply, you can select your preferred group and start date. We’ll respond within 48 hours to confirm your placement and details.
