Frequently Asked Questions

Programmes

GENERAL

  • We meet you where you are, with two programmes for children aged 4–9.

Embreier Wednesday provides full Wednesday coverage from 12:00–18:00, designed to solve the mid-week childcare gap for working families. Embreier Signature is a 90-minute enrichment programme that follows the same developmental arc in a shorter after-school format.

Both programmes use the same method and principles. The difference is duration and the window of time that meet your family’s needs.

  • Maximum 8 children per group. The same group and the same educator stay together each week.

  • After each session, educators are available for a brief conversation.

They are trained in the Embreier method, fluent in English and French, and cleared under Swiss safeguarding requirements. One educator stays with the same group over time to build continuity and trust.

  • Children are supervised at all times in a calm, age-appropriate environment. Group size is kept small, educators are consistent, and safeguarding standards follow Swiss requirements.

  • Enrolment runs on a monthly rolling basis. Changes can be made before the next billing cycle, subject to availability.

  • Embreier Signature is delivered onsite at participating workplaces and in designated Embreier spaces.

If you would like to bring Embreier to your workplace, you can register your interest via this short form. We will follow up directly with the relevant organisation.

EMBREIER WEDNESDAY

  • Most Wednesday options are patchwork: supervision here, an activity there, more coordination for you.
Embreier Wednesday is one complete afternoon held by the same educator, in the same rhythm, every week. Children know what comes next, responsibilities are shared, and learning compounds instead of resetting.

  • Children arrive, share a meal, work alone or with support, then move into creative and physical activities before closing the day as a group. The sequence stays the same each week. The activities change over the month.

  • Please send a packed lunch, a snack for the afternoon, and comfortable clothes for movement. All materials, activities, and structure are provided. There is no homework, coordination, or follow-up required at home.

  • Yes, on Wednesdays. Quiet time for homework or independent work is built into the afternoon. Educators support without rushing or pressure.

  • You collect your child directly from the session room during calm transition windows at 13:15–13:30, 14:45–15:00, 16:15–16:30, or 17:45–18:00.

These 15-minute windows allow time to reconnect and briefly speak with the educator.

If your child stays for the full Wednesday, pickup is between 17:45 and 18:00, with time to check in before heading home.

EMBREIER SIGNATURE

  • We meet you where you are, with two programmes for children aged 4–9.

Embreier Wednesday offers full Wednesday coverage from 12:00–18:00, structured for working families navigating the mid-week gap. Embreier Signature is a 90-minute programme built on the same developmental arc, our flagship.

Both programmes use the same method and principles. The difference is duration and the window of time that meet your family’s needs.

  • Most after-school activities build isolated skills.
    Embreier builds habits.

    Emotional regulation. Listening. Sharing. Collaboration.
In a consistent, neuroscience-based sequence, children settle faster and take responsibility sooner. Confidence grows week after week.

  • A 90-minute Embreier Signature session begins with children arriving just as they are.

We start with 30 minutes of movement. Then we reset together — tidying up, taking a few steady breaths, and shifting gears.

Next comes 30 minutes of focused creative and cognitive work. Children choose what to work on, begin, and see it through.

We close with a final 15-minute circle. Parents are welcome to join, reconnect, and pick up during this time.

The sequence follows how brains and bodies naturally develop. Movement and creative work change on a four-week cycle, while the rhythm stays familiar.

  • Yes. After each session, educators are available for a brief conversation.

They are trained in the Embreier method, fluent in English and French, and cleared under Swiss safeguarding requirements. One educator stays with the same group over time to build continuity and trust.

  • Enrolment is monthly and flexible. You can adjust before the next billing cycle, subject to availability.

  • The current cohort begins on 22 April in Lausanne, Grancy. Explore the full details on this page.
