The company

Embreier builds Kalyr, adaptive intelligence for consequential work. Kalyr compares the moves a team could make, seals its prediction before anyone acts, and scores it against what actually happened. Every scored outcome sharpens the next decision. We start where a process repeats and every run returns a result, and we are building toward intelligence that learns from reality wherever consequential work is done.

The role

For exceptional early-career researchers and builders who move from first principles to working evidence.

You take one open question at the heart of learning from consequence and push it until it yields a result we can stand on, or an honest reason it cannot. Questions like “What carries from one site to the next?” or “When should a model say it needs more evidence?” You work beside the engineers shipping Kalyr, so a result that holds can land in the product.

What you will do

• Choose a question. From sequential intelligence, representation, causal and counterfactual learning, continual learning, or provenance and permission.
• Write down what would change your mind. Before the study runs, so the result means something.
• Build the smallest thing that answers it. On real episodes, with the simplest method that could work.
• Write it up to be checked. Clearly enough that someone outside the company could test it.

What you bring

• Foundations. Strong computer science, machine learning, statistics or a related field, from final-year student to early career.
• Work we can inspect. Code, a paper or a project you are proud of.
• A question you care about. More than the answer you hope for.
• Nerve. Comfort being wrong early, cheaply and in front of others.

Who we hire

Original thinkers who master the method, then bend it to find something better. Your result changes what we build. You would like your name on a finding that holds. Ambitious for the question, humble about your part in answering it. You are first to say when the evidence points the other way, because the goal is shared.
